In 1997, I set sail from the UK on a grand voyage aboard the Carnival Tropicale from Miami. This was no ordinary journey; it was the first time I had ever left my homeland for such an extended period. Initially, I promised myself it would be just one contract, but fate had other plans.

Starting as a Casino Dealer, I quickly fell in love with the vibrant lifestyle and the thrill of traveling to new and exotic places. The turn of the millennium brought a new chapter as I decided to explore different horizons, joining Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. Here, I climbed the ranks from Casino Dealer to Casino Manager and even took on the role of Casino Host for high-end players, a rarity in those days.

However, the journey wasn’t always smooth sailing. I faced challenges, including an unfriendly leadership team that made it difficult to continue. Longing for the fond memories of my time with Carnival, I made the bold decision to return. This choice proved to be the best I had made in a long time.

In 2014, I stepped back onboard the Inspiration in Long Beach and never looked back. Now, living a semi-normal life in Miami, I cherish the amazing experiences and incredible people I met along the way. Working with a fantastic team and supporting management across the fleet, I find joy in every shift.

When asked which cruise line is the best to work for, my answer is clear: I am here with Carnival, and here to stay. My shipboard career, filled with adventure, growth, and fulfillment, continues to sail smoothly into the future.
