I started my journey with Global Gaming in August of 2014 as a Casino Dealer and started my training as a Casino Host on Carnival Valor in the year of 2018. I just celebrated my 10 years with the company last August.

What makes me feel empowered is the supportive casino management team who provides guidance, feedback and advocates for my abilities. Also, being entrusted with challenging and meaningful tasks, especially with this new position and being the first one to be assigned to the role, makes me proud because they believe in what I can bring and contribute to the growth and success of the company. In short, because of the clear expectations given, the resources and support to succeed, opportunities to grow and develop and recognition for my contributions makes me want to continue and prosper my career with Global Gaming.

The most influential person in my growth and I am proud to say is Mr. Troy Kennedy, my Fleet Casino Marketing Manager, who helped throughout my journey as a host and to where I am now. His approach to leadership is truly exceptional and he possess a rare combination of vision, empathy and unwavering support for my growth. I have always felt heard and valued under his guidance, which has fostered a sense of trust and open communication that is very essential in achieving my goal. Mr. Kennedy’s trust in my abilities empowered me to take risks, learn from my mistakes and ultimately achieve more than I thought possible. Let me take also this opportunity to thank him for being such an inspiring mentor and leader. I am truly fortunate to have had such an amazing boss and friend at the same time.
